About the class

We’re heading to Heartland Festival in Pitlochry, 26–28 June 2026, bringing pottery wheels and a suspicious amount of enthusiasm. Heartland bills itself as “a music festival in the heart of Scotland”, with a big focus on celebrating artists, a Discovery Stage for emerging acts, and an easygoing, family-friendly atmosphere.

What we’re doing

We’ll be running drop-in “have-a-go” pottery wheel sessions across the weekend. No experience needed. If you can hold a pint without dropping it, you can probably centre clay (eventually). We’ll guide you step-by-step, keep it relaxed, and get you making something that looks like it meant to happen.

Where it is

Heartland takes place at Pitlochry Recreation Ground. Pedestrian access postcode: PH16 5DZ.

What happens to your pot

You’ll take your pot away with you on the day. Once it’s dry you can paint it at home with acrylics (and varnish it if you want it to survive modern life).

Daily prize draw: leave us a review during the festival and you’ll be entered. Each day, one winner’s pot comes back to our studio to be properly fired, glazed, and posted back. The fancy finish, without you needing to own a kiln or sell a kidney.

Why you should bother

Heartland’s whole thing is music, community, and good vibes in the Perthshire Highlands. Our whole thing is letting you smash your brain’s “I’m not creative” setting with 15 minutes of spinning clay therapy. It’s a solid pairing.

Good to know
