Wine/Water Jug – Aurora

This handmade ceramic jug is finished in Aurora, a shifting green-blue glaze that breaks to deep brown and black where it runs thin.
Named for the aurora borealis seen in Scottish skies, the glaze moves naturally during firing, creating changing areas of green, blue and shadow. No two surfaces settle in quite the same way. A practical serving jug for water or wine, made to be used rather than merely admired from a safe distance.
