Fancy more than just a quick go on the wheel?

Our Full Wheel Throwing Experience gives you 1 hour 45 mins to properly settle in, get muddy and start figuring out what all the fuss is about.

You'll have your own potter's wheel for the session, plenty of clay to work with and two experienced potters on hand to guide you through the process. We'll start with the basics of centring the clay, opening it up and pulling the walls, then you'll have plenty of time to practise, make mistakes, squash things, start again and hopefully finish with several pots you're rather pleased with.

This isn't one of our usual multi-week pottery courses. We've designed this specifically for Melfort so holidaymakers and visitors can have a much fuller pottery experience without needing to come back the following week.

No experience whatsoever is needed.

What happens to my pots?

At the end of the session, the pots you make are yours to keep and take away with you. These would be best left in the venue for 24 hours to firm up before collection. For the adverturous amoungst you, these can be pit fired to continue the journey or simply decorated with acrylics
